SANTA CLARITA COWBOY FESTIVAL TO RETURN TO MAIN STREET IN OLD TOWN NEWHALL, APRIL 22 and APRIL 23, 2023.

Attention all Urban Cowboys! Cowboy life and Western Culture set to come to life on April 22, 23 on Main Street in Old Town Newhall.

SANTA CLARITA, CA – The City of Santa Clarita’s Cowboy Festival is set to return for its 27th year after a three-year pause. The world-class event, which features the sights, sounds and style of Cowboy life and Western culture is scheduled for April 22 and 23, with a new urban venue for 2023 – Main Street in Old Town Newhall.

General admission to the Cowboy Festival remains free and attendees will be treated to a variety of live music performances and entertainment on Main Street, as well as The MAIN theater. Special ticketed evening performances will be held at the Canyon Theatre Guild and the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts in Newhall. Additional information and tickets for these shows will be released soon. In addition, food and beverages will be available for purchase and guests can shop from vendors offering unique Western apparel, crafts and more. Food, apparel and gear vendor applications are now being accepted through February 20. Prospective vendors can learn more about the event and apply at CowboyFestival.org.

The 2023 Cowboy Festival will feature favorite performers from festivals past, as well as a variety of new musicians presenting country western, folk and bluegrass performances across three stages on Main Street. Additionally, there will be a limited number of VIP packages available for purchase. Details on VIP package amenities and pricing will be announced as they are finalized.

Leading up to the Cowboy Festival, a Wild Wild West SENSES Block Party will be held on Main Street on Thursday, April 20 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. and feature live music, themed activities, an on-street bar and more. The Walk of Western Stars will unveil its 2023 inductees on Friday, April 21. This event will commemorate the inductees’ contributions to Western entertainment history by immortalizing their names in bronze and terrazzo tile, stamped into the streets of Old Town Newhall.

City of Santa Clarita’s Scarecrow Alley Competition Comes to Main Street in Old Town Newhall.

SENSES Harvest Festival Block Party to Include Scarecrow Decorating Competition in October.

Santa Clarita, Calif. – Spookiness is on its way to Main Street in Old Town Newhall. The spine-tingling, hair-raising chill in the air can only mean one thing – Scarecrow Alley is returning to Santa Clarita! Sign-up now to participate in the City of Santa Clarita’s community scarecrow contest for your chance to win eternal glory – and a fabulous prize!

Scarecrow Alley is a community competition that encourages residents, businesses and non-profit organizations to submit a decorated scarecrow to be featured at the Harvest Festival SENSES Block Party on Thursday, October 21, at 7:00 p.m.

A $50 gift card will be awarded to the top entry in the following three categories: Classic, Creepy and Creative. A People’s Choice winner will be selected from all entries and will receive a $100 gift card.

There is no fee to participate in the contest, but interested participants must register in advance at OldTownNewhall.com/SENSES-Block-Party. Participants are responsible for all materials, though the City will provide one support stake for each submission. Registration must be completed by Tuesday, October 12, and entries must be delivered to Scarecrow Alley on Main Street on Wednesday, October 20.

Each entry will be judged by a panel consisting of City of Santa Clarita staff and community partners. Winners will be announced at 9:00 p.m. during the Harvest Festival SENSES Block Party on October 21.

Newhall, Calif. – The City of Santa Clarita’s wildly popular SENSES block parties will return to Main Street in Old Town Newhall. Stimulate your senses in August, September and October with live music, food trucks and themed activities in a festive, adult setting.

Welcome back SENSES on Thursday, August 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a Sports of All Sorts block party. Play hard and have fun with a smorgasbord of games and sporting activities as you show why you should’ve been chosen to represent your country at this year’s Olympics.

Take a trip to Downtown Las Vegas as Old Town Newhall transforms into Fremont Street on Thursday, September 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Try your luck at the outdoor casino games and enjoy live entertainment, iconic Vegas thrills and adult beverages from the on-street bar.

Closeout the 2021 SENSES slate and carve out some fun at the Harvest Festival on Thursday, October 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Stroll down Scarecrow Alley or enter the scarecrow decorating contest yourself for a chance to win a fa-boo-lous prize! “Pumpkin spice” things up with a game of pumpkin bowling and a cup of cider.
