Artist Tristan Eaton featured on PBS NewsHour ahead of Eaton’s debut solo museum exhibition at the Long Beach Museum of Art, on July 15th.

Los Angeles, Calif. – Tristan Eaton sits down with Christopher Booker on PBS Newshour to discuss life, work, and living outside conventions ahead of Eaton’s debut solo museum exhibition coming this July 15, 2021. 

As an urban pop artist operating outside the confines of classic genres, Eaton’s work moves between guerrilla street art, commercial design, civic installation and fine art.

 ‘All At Once,’ Tristan Eaton’s debut solo museum show, is an exhibition showcasing 25 years of work by the Los Angeles-based artist. The exhibit features pieces from Eaton’s early years in street art, toy design, illusion, rock poster design, and printmaking, all the way through his most recent work.

The upcoming exhibit incorporates highlights from Tristan’s years of guerrilla street art with Trustocorp as well as his mural work, studio painting practices, early toy design illustrations, and highlights from his last 3 solo exhibitions. Tristan’s exhibition spans both floors of the Hartman Pavillion and showcases a comprehensive archive from childhood sketches to newly commissioned and site-specific works.
