‘Hamilton’ in LA: Lin-Manuel Miranda to hold ticket lottery outside Pantages, Fans can line up for the #Ham4Ham ticket lottery starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday August 16.

Hollywood, Calif. – “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will be hosting a special ticket lottery for the musical outside the Pantages Theatre on Wednesday, which is the show’s official opening night in Los Angeles.

Fans can line up for the #Ham4Ham ticket lottery starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Entries will be collected from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. The drawing will be at 1 p.m.

 The special lottery was announced on the official “Hamilton” app.

The Wednesday lottery event will feature several live performances outside the theater.

The lottery winners will get tickets for the front two rows for $10 (cash only). Winners must be present to win and must have a photo ID that matches the name drawn.

There was no word on how many winners will be chosen.

Regularly-priced premium seats can cost you more than $1,700 each.

The #Ham4Ham events are a tradition that started outside of the Richard Rodgers Theatre during Broadway previews, according to the “Hamilton” app.

Another lottery for $10 “Hamilton” tickets was announced last week. To participate in that lottery, you have to enter on the “Hamilton” app or the Pantages’ website.




Tickets ARE available for all performances:

  • To ensure you are purchasing legitimate tickets, buy ONLY from the official source,
  • On, you can find primary tickets (blue dots) as well as verified resale tickets (pink dots).
  • Search multiple performances.
  • There is a lottery for $10 tickets for every performance.  Details will be announced soon and will be posted on this page.

Prep for your show:

  • Locate your tickets (mobile or hard tickets).
  • Double check your performance date and time.
  • Sell, transfer, or distribute your tickets.
  • Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your performance to allow time for security checks, restroom visits, etc.
  • Doors open 1 hour before the performance and concessions and souvenir booths will be open at this time.
  • Late seating is at the discretion of theatre management and the show.  If you are not in your seat when the lights go down you may be subject to a seating hold.
  • Plan your parking.
  • Be sure to check back here before you leave for the theatre for traffic alerts and updates.
  • Go Metro!  Take the RED LINE to Hollywood & Vine.
  • Make a dinner reservation.
  • Do not bring:
    • Outside food or drinks.
    • Large bags (there is no bag check or coat check).
    • Professional cameras.
    • Video equipment.

Hamilton is coming to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, Aug. 11 – Dec. 30, 2017.

Hollywood, Calif –Producer Jeffrey Seller is thrilled to announce thattwo-time Tony Award® nominee JOSHUA HENRY, Broadway’s MICHAEL LUWYOYE andTony Award® Nominee RORY O’MALLEY will lead the National Tour of HAMILTON as Aaron Burr, Alexander Hamilton and King George III, respectively. Hamilton will open at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on August 11 and run through December 30, 2017.

Mr. Henry, currently performing in the Chicago production, made his Broadway debut in In The Heights, received Tony Award ®nominations for his roles in Violet and The Scottsboro Boys and created the role of “Noble Sissle” in Shuffle Along.  Mr. Luwoye made his Broadway debut in HAMILTON and was nominated for a 2016 Lucille Lortel Award for his work as Jacob in Invisible Thread (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical).  And, Mr. O’Malley is currently playing King George III on Broadway and received a Tony Award® nomination for his role as Elder McKinley in The Book of Mormon. 

Other principal roles in HAMILTON on tour will be played by RUBÉN J. CARBAJAL as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton; JORDAN DONICA as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; AMBER IMAN as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; ISAIAH JOHNSON as George Washington; SOLEA PFEIFFER as Eliza Hamilton; EMMY RAVER-LAMPMAN as Angelica Schuyler and MATHENEE TRECO as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison.


Performances begin March 10, 2017 at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.  The National Tour of HAMILTON will play 21-weeks in San Francisco, followed by a 21-week engagement in Los Angeles.

Michael Luwoye is currently the Alexander Hamilton alternate on Broadway.  Off Broadway: Invisible Thread (Second Stage). Regional: Cardboard Piano (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Marley (Center Stage), Witness Uganda (A.R.T.), Tick, tick … BOOM! (American Theater Group), and The Three Musketeers and Once on This Island (Flat Rock Playhouse).  He received B.A. from The University of Alabama c/o 2013.

Rory O’Malley was last seen on Broadway singing “Turn It Off” as Elder McKinley in The Book of Mormon (Tony and Drama Desk nominations) and in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Off-Broadway: Nobody Loves You (Drama Desk nomination) and Little Miss Sunshine. TV: “Partners” alongside Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence, “Nurse Jackie,” “The Good Wife,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “1600 Penn.” Film: Dreamgirls.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.  The musical won eleven 2016 Tony Awards ®including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography and Orchestrations.  Mr. Miranda received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for HAMILTON.

HAMILTON is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.

HAMILTON’s creative team previously collaborated on the 2008 Tony Award ® Winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS.

Hollywood, Calif., – Hamilton conceived and written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the man behind musical phenomenon In the Heights, brings the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton to the stage. Seamlessly injecting contemporary music into a historical tale, Hamilton was inspired by the 2004 biography ‘Alexander Hamilton’ by historian Ron Chernow. The musical played a completely sold out Off-Broadway engagement at The Public Theater in February 2015 before transferring to Broadway that summer, opening on August 6, 2015 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. On Broadway, it has received enthusiastic critical acclaim and unprecedented advance box office sales.
